GUIDE

Send and receive QTC

A QTC transfer takes a minute to send and becomes final about 100 blocks later. Here is the whole path, step by step.

Open web walletAdd to Chrome

Receive QTC

  1. Open Qkeep and choose Receive.
  2. Share your address, which starts with qz, or let the sender scan the QR code.
  3. The transfer appears in your activity. A new account appears on the network once it holds at least 0.001 QTC.

Send QTC

  1. Choose Send and paste the address, or scan the recipient's QR code.
  2. Enter the amount and review the fee and the total.
  3. Confirm. Your device signs the transfer and Qkeep broadcasts it.

Check the address before you confirm. Transfers cannot be reversed.

When is a transfer final?

A transfer is included in a block within seconds to a few minutes. Quantus treats it as final once 100 more blocks are built on top, which takes about 20 to 30 minutes at current block times. Qkeep shows a live countdown until then. You can also look the transfer up on the qtcscan.com explorer.

Keep at least 0.001 QTC

The network removes accounts that fall below 0.001 QTC. Qkeep warns you if a transfer would leave less than that in your account.

Questions

How much is the fee?

The fee depends on the transfer and the network. Qkeep shows the estimated fee before you confirm.

Can I send a second transfer before the first one is final?

Yes, for regular transfers: a few blocks after the first one is included, usually within a minute. After a private send, wait until it is final.
